📖 Sacred Vrat Katha (Full Narrative)

On Shravana Krishna 4, Bahula, a pure and truthful cow, encountered a hungry lion in the forest. Bound by motherhood, Bahula earnestly promised the lion that she would return to be his meal after nursing her newborn thirsty calf at home.

Having fed her calf with tender love and bidding farewell, Bahula faithfully returned to the lion's den. Stunned by her matchless truthfulness and supreme integrity, the lion bowed in reverence. Lord Krishna manifested in divine splendour, blessing Bahula that all who observe this fast and worship the sacred cow shall see their children shielded from all harm.
