Because our application is built from the ground up on an offline-first foundation, you can use the complete calendar, daily panchang, real-time choghadiyas, kundali, baby names, and astrological features without disclosing your identity or submitting personal information.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store any of the following:

• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, or social media handles.
• No Account Registration: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide credentials to access any feature of the app.
• No Financial or Payment Information: The app is 100% free. We do not process transactions, credit cards, bank accounts, or digital wallets.
• No Contacts, Media or SMS Access: The app does not request or access your device contacts, photo library, call logs, or text messages.

3. Device Permissions & Technical Usage

To provide accurate Vedic calculations, the application utilizes standard device capabilities strictly as detailed below:

• Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION - Optional):
  If you choose to use the "Current Location (GPS)" feature, your device's latitude and longitude are used purely locally in temporary memory to compute astronomical Sunrise, Sunset, Day/Night Choghadiya periods, and Udaya Tithi for your exact location. Your geographic coordinates are never saved to remote servers, logged, transmitted, or shared with any third party.
• Local Storage (localStorage / App Sandbox):
  Your preferences (such as selected language, chosen city, selected visual theme, and any personal tithi notes you save) are stored solely inside your device's local sandbox storage. This data never leaves your device and is erased if you clear the app cache or uninstall the application.
• Network Access (INTERNET - Optional Online Features):
  Internet connectivity is used exclusively for optional features, including fetching live market rates (Gold, Silver, and USD/INR exchange rates from public financial feeds) and streaming devotional audio. Core calendar and panchang computation engines function completely offline.
• Vibration (VIBRATE):
  Used exclusively for gentle haptic tactile feedback when interacting with buttons, selectors, or temple chime sound effects.

4. Third-Party Services & External APIs

We do not partner with behavioral advertising networks, data brokers, or profiling services.

For optional real-time market figures (Gold, Silver, US Dollar rates), the app performs standard anonymous HTTP requests to publicly available rate endpoints. These requests do not contain any user identifiers, advertising IDs, or personal data.

5. Children's Privacy

The Sanatan Hindu Calendar application is designed for family and general cultural use and does not contain sensitive, inappropriate, or mature content.

In full compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K, and Google Play Families Policies, we do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions).

6. Data Security & Your Controls

Because your data (such as saved calendar notes and custom settings) resides strictly on your local device, you maintain full control over your information at all times:

• You can modify or delete individual notes directly within the app.
• You can reset all preferences and erase all stored data by clearing the app data in Android Settings > Apps > Sanatan Hindu Calendar > Storage > Clear Storage.
• Uninstalling the app immediately deletes all locally sandboxed preferences.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect updates to Android OS requirements or Google Play Store policies. Any changes will be published directly on this page with an updated "Effective Date". We encourage you to review this page periodically.

The Vedic Panchang components presented in this application—including Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, Choghadiya, Rahu Kaal, Yamagandam, Gulika Kaal, Sunrise, Sunset, Moonrise, Moonset, Vikram Samvat, and Vrat/Festival dates—are algorithmically computed using mathematical models of planetary ephemeris and modern Indian astronomical principles (Drik Ganita / Indian Astronomical Ephemeris).

Users explicitly acknowledge and agree that:

• Geographic & Atmospheric Variations: Exact celestial timings and sunrise/sunset determinations inherently vary based on local latitude, longitude, altitude above sea level, elevation of the local horizon, and atmospheric refraction.
• Computational Traditions & Sectarian Customs: Different traditions, regional panchang makers, and Hindu sampradayas follow diverse computational methodologies (such as Drik Siddhanta vs. Surya Siddhanta, or Amanta / southern-western months vs. Purnimanta / northern months). Variations of several minutes or occasional tithi adjustments between different calendar publishers are recognized as customary, traditional, and non-defective.
• No Absolute Ritual Guarantee: The application does not represent or warrant that the calculations will meet every specific ecclesiastical, ritual, or horoscopic requirement. For solemn religious sacraments, weddings (Vivaha Sanskar), Upanayana, housewarmings (Griha Pravesh), or other critical life rituals, users are strongly advised to consult qualified family astrologers, priests (pujaris/pandits), or authorized local temple authorities.

8.2. Religious Texts, Vrat Kathas & Devotional Literature Cultural Heritage

The Vrat Kathas, Puja Vidhis, fast rules, mantras, stutis, and aartis incorporated in this application are compiled in good faith from public-domain classical scriptures (such as the Puranas and traditional texts), regional folk literature, and cultural heritage of Gujarat and Sanatan Dharma.

• These materials are offered purely for cultural, devotional, and educational enrichment.
• Observances, rituals, dietary disciplines, and vrat protocols vary across families, regions, castes, and monastic orders. Nothing in this application shall be construed as establishing dogma, enforcing religious orthodoxy, or resolving theological disputes.
• Skenix Infotech expressly disclaims any liability arising out of differences in theological interpretation, religious sentiments, or regional sectarian customs.

8.3. Real-Time Financial & Commodity Rates Disclaimer (Gold, Silver, USD/INR) Indicative Market Rates

The application displays live/indicative market rates for Gold (24K & 22K), Silver, and US Dollar (USD to INR exchange rate) compiled from publicly available third-party financial data feeds and APIs.

• Indicative Reference Only: All displayed commodity prices and currency rates are indicative, non-binding estimates intended solely for general awareness. They do not constitute financial advice, investment counsel, commercial trade quotes, or legal valuations.
• Exclusion of Commercial & Financial Liability: Skenix Infotech is not a SEBI-registered financial adviser, research analyst, broker, bullion merchant, or banking entity. Local retail jewellery prices vary across regions due to local bullion association fixings, GST, hallmark charges, and jeweller-specific making charges.
• No Trading Reliance: Users must independently verify prevailing spot prices with authorized bullion dealers, banks, or jewellers before making any financial, trading, or purchasing commitment. Skenix Infotech accepts zero responsibility for any commercial, investment, trading, or monetary losses.

8.4. Safe Harbor Protection under Information Technology Act, 2000 IT Act Sec 79

In respect of any third-party content, external web links, financial API feeds, or user-generated notes stored locally on the user's device, Skenix Infotech claims all statutory safe harbor protections and exemptions provided under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

8.5. Comprehensive Limitation of Liability (Indian Contract Act, 1872) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian laws:

• In no event shall Skenix Infotech, its founders, directors, employees, partners, agents, or licensors be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages whatsoever—including without limitation damages for loss of profits, commercial losses, emotional distress, ritual or auspicious discrepancies, financial losses, personal grievances, or device malfunctions—arising out of or in any way connected with the use, performance, correctness, or delay of the application or the data provided therein.
• If any part of this limitation of liability is held unenforceable under Indian law, our total aggregate liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to access the application (which is INR 0 / Free).

8.6. Governing Law & Exclusive Territorial Jurisdiction Vadodara, Gujarat
