  2. Perform Abhishek across all four Prahar intervals using milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugarcane juice.
  3. Offer sacred Bilva leaves and chant the Panchakshari Mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya'.
  4. Conclude next morning after sunrise with charity and prayers.

📖 Sacred Vrat Katha (Full Narrative)

A hunter named Lubdhaka spent an entire day without catching any game. As night fell, he climbed a Bilva tree beside a forest pool to wait for quarry, oblivious that an ancient Shivalinga rested below. Restless with hunger, he plucked Bilva leaves and dropped them down onto the Lingam.

During the night, three deer approached. When targeted, each pleaded for time to bid farewell to their young, swearing upon truth to return. In each watch of the night, Lubdhaka relented, inadvertently offering Bilva leaves and water to the Shivalinga.

At the final watch, the deer returned together to honor their pledge. Witnessing their profound adherence to truth, Lubdhaka threw down his bow in tears of repentance. Lord Shiva manifested in infinite radiance, pardoning the hunter and welcoming him alongside the deer into the eternal realm of Kailash.
