📖 Sacred Vrat Katha (Full Narrative)

A destitute Brahmin widow raised her son alongside an orphaned prince of Vidarbha whose kingdom had been overrun by adversaries. Sage Shandilya initiated the family into the sacred Pradosh Vrata.

Observing the twilight vow with deep humility, divine grace unfolded. While wandering in the forest, the prince met Gandharva princess Anshumati. Blessed by Lord Shiva, they married and received an invincible celestial army. With this army, the prince regained his ancestral throne, honoring the devoted Brahmin widow as the queen mother.
