Sacred Vrat Katha (Full Narrative)
When Lord Ganesha swallowed the fierce demon Analasura to preserve creation, intolerable burning heat overwhelmed His stomach. While all cooling balms failed, Sage Kashyapa offered 21 blades of sacred Durva grass, which instantly quenched the fire. Ganesha declared that those who honor Durva on Bhadrapada Shukla 8 shall enjoy everlasting family lineage and tranquil prosperity.
